*****5 Beyond Amazing Stars*****
Meredith Wild continues to blow me away more and more with each book she writes. The Hacker Series has firmly cemented itself as one of my favorite series, and it’s because of the level of emotion, feeling, and authenticity Meredith Wild creates and conveys through all of her thoughtfully crafted words.
There were points in this book that made my heart melt, others that almost shattered it. There were moments that literally took my breath away, while some stopped my heart then got my pulse racing again in the same instant, and plenty that brought a certain pink hue to my face.
I felt it all. I experienced it all. I loved it all immensely.
Hard Limit (Hacker Series #4) is the next chapter in Blake and Erica’s love story together, and it is extraordinary, to say the least. This chapter between them just felt so right, and I can’t stress enough how much I loved reading it. This chapter and next step in their relationship felt extremely natural, and just made sense for them as a couple. Hard Limit is their next step in fighting for the ending they both want and so truly deserve.
I couldn’t get enough of it, and it left me with one helluva book hangover because I was that emotionally invested within the story and its unforgettably dynamic characters.
One of the things I’ve loved most about this series is that Blake and Erica continue to evolve and grow as characters, yet the aspects that make them unique and in essence them, still shine through.
Erica is steadfast and determined as all get out. She is also one fierce little lady who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to fight for it. Hard Limit gives Erica the opportunity to examine many aspects of her life both professionally and personally, and boy does she. This book brings about a lot of change for her specifically, and reading how she faced that change head on with her head held high, just made me love that girl more fiercely than I already did.
Blake. Oh Blake Landon, how I love thee. Blake is one of my all-time favorite male characters. He is stubborn and he is controlling and he is powerful, along with numerous other adjectives. He is so many dynamic things wrapped into one glorious male character. Hard Limit gives you an exceptional opportunity to learn more about the dynamic Blake Landon, and while discovering more about his past you’ll just come to love and understand his character more. You’ll get him, you’ll understand him and his motives, and you’ll just love that.
This book finds Blake and Erica working once again towards that happy that they both so rightfully warrant. After the events of Hardline, as well as the other books in this series, there was an ease between Blake and Erica in Hard Limit that just exemplified how much their relationship had evolved since it began. I cannot tell you enough how outstandingly Meredith Wild captures that evolution and change. It makes you see where these two were, and where they are now together. It also makes you hyperaware of just how powerful and passionate their relationship is.
Reading Hard Limit will just affirm how outstanding reading Blake and Erica’s relationship truly is. It’s passionate and fiery. Their connection continues to leap off the page with nothing short of fireworks. Meredith Wild also makes these two so real and authentic to read that you’ll find yourself easily connecting with them both. You’ll feel that connection, you’ll embrace it, and you’ll love how it emotionally invests you within this story and these characters.
It’ll also just reaffirm once again why what Blake and Erica have is worth fighting for; why it’s worth risking everything for. You’ll experience that fight, you’ll feel it in your heart, and I promise you’ll want to fight for it right along with them because that’s how worth it, it is.
One of the aspects I loved most about Hard Limit was that while Erica and Blake have evolved so much individually and as a couple, they both continue to push each other. Whether they’re pushing in the boardroom, the bedroom, or anywhere else in between, they are both continually pushing each other in the most extraordinary ways. They push each other to be better, to trust, to feel, to love, to heal, to make the right choices, to understand, to accept, to do it all. They push each other to the limits, but those limits are where the magic happens in this book, and it’s one of the many aspects that makes Hard Limit so magnificent.
I could go on and on about the level of feeling and varied emotion that characterizes Hard Limit. I’ve touched on this already, but this book really does make you feel it all, and that is nothing short of exceptional. You feel the fight these characters have. You feel and are enveloped fully within the passion and love they share. You feel those moments of heartbreak and pain and vulnerability as if you’re the character in the book experiencing it. All of those varied emotional moments just enhance what you’re reading to a whole new level to where you’ll just be blown away by the phenomenal and unforgettable reading experience you’re having.
Hard Limit continues to exemplify all that makes a Hacker Series book the best with its wonderful supporting characters, its highly charged emotional moments, its intricate and detailed layers that weave themselves beautifully into the story, and its storyline that will keep you hooked in until the very last word. I am telling you this now: you will not be able to put this book down.
All of the magnificent supporting characters are all back, and their little unique selves make this book all the more enjoyable. Each of their distinct little selves adds to the puzzle that is this series, and you’ll be glad to spend a little more time with them. Alli, Heath, Sid, Fiona, Simone, James, and many more that you’ll have to read this book to discover, will just make you love this book even more. Even Daniel. Especially Daniel.
There are also plenty of moments in Hard Limit that will shock you. And I mean shock you, take your breath away, and make you drop your kindle kind of moments. Those moments are phenomenal and breathtaking and highly emotional, and while extremely shocking, they make reading this book all the more enthralling and extraordinary because you truly don’t know what’s going to happen next.
Like I said, Meredith Wild continues to blow me away with her brilliant writing, her extremely engaging and well developed characters, and her storylines that just don’t quit with their amazingness.
This series is a must read for anyone who enjoys a good love story with plenty of love, passion, emotion and more fight than you can shake a stick at. This series is why I love reading so much. It truly has everything in it that makes a book a 5 star read for me. Hell, I wish I could give this book so many more stars than that because that’s what it deserves.
Hard Limit repeatedly exemplifies how truly remarkable and amazing this series, its characters, and Meredith Wild’s writing are.
