Review Post: The Rocker Who Shatters Me by Terri Anne Browning
Yes, I made a bet with my best friend—my now ex-best friend.
It had been a stupid, heat of the moment kind of thing. I’d just wanted to get
her out of my system and move one. Instead I’ve lived to regret it ever since.
I lost the girl I loved, a girl that possessed my very soul. Now I can’t even
get close to Natalie. She thinks all she ever meant to me was just the means to
the end of a stupid, stupid game.
…For a Bet!
In the span of one night I’d gone from thinking I had a
future with the man I loved to SHATTERED at his feet. I can’t get over it. The
pain is too strong, too destructive as it festers more and more inside of me.
And then my friend came up with the perfect revenge for both our broken hearts.
“I bet you…”
Those three little words gave me a reason to ball my pain up
and throw it back in Devlin Cutter’s face. I would let him back in, let him
think he had a chance with me once again. And then I would walk away, leaving
him broken and bleeding at my feet as he once had left me.
This time he would be the one SHATTERED.

*****5 HUGE STARS*****
I have absolutely loved and devoured every single book in Terri Anne Browning’s The Rocker Series. This series is one of my all-time favorites that I just cannot get enough of. These bands, these vibrantly fun characters, and their heart tugging stories just continue to win me over again and again.
With each new book and character’s story I fall more and more in headfirst love with these books and their enthralling characters. The time I’ve spent with these characters is nothing short of wonderful, and I for one was more than thrilled to jump right back into it all with The Rocker Who Shatters Me.
This book follows the dynamic and ever fierce, Natalie and Devlin. I have been dying for their story ever since I got my first real taste of them in The Rocker Who Wants Me. That’s when they captivated me in for the first time, and their story within this book just hit it out of the park for me.
Their story has a seriously intriguing start with a pretty infamous bet, and continues on with more feeling, emotion, and shattering heartbreak than you can shake a stick at. Natalie and Devlin are put to the emotional test in The Rocker Who Shatters Me, and I promise you that that test will leave your heart melting for these unforgettable two.
What was amazing about The Rocker Who Shatters Me:
- Fierce as all get out Natalie. Natalie is one fierce little cookie. She is so headstrong and she puts up one helluva fight against all that comes her way. Even though Natalie has so many instances of pain that wanted to shatter her, in those same moments she was so beyond fierce that she left me in awe. That fierceness and strength defined and followed her presence, and just exemplified how tough Natalie was through everything. That is one spirited little lady, and you’re going to be blown away by the force that is Natalie in this book.
- Devlin’s determination. Devlin Cutter pretty much just made me want to swoon, run my fingers through his hair, and then grab a fan. Then repeat all that again. But what I loved most about his character was his determination. He never gives up hope. He’s in the ring constantly fighting for Natalie, and he never waivers in his determination to make the wrong he created right. That determination won me over repeatedly, and just illuminated how much of a good guy he was underneath it all. Yes he seriously effed up majorly, but his steadfast determination to fix it all had me practically melting with love for him.
- Their shattering pain. You will kind of feel heartbroken while reading portions of this book because of the pain both Devlin and Natalie experience. Terri Anne Browning dives deep into both their heads and allows you to understand and feel all the anguish they both have. I loved that she made it easy to feel for both of them, even Devlin after all he does to Natalie. Feeling and experiencing all that pain just hit home the emotions both characters had, and it had me wishing with everything that I could just make it better for them both.
- The earth shattering connection. The depth of connection I felt between Natalie and Devlin was like fireworks. Heated, bright, and shining through all the darkness. I think I needed a fan after reading this book after experiencing their heat. The connection and depth of feeling they shared had my heart racing, and it brought a serious flush to my cheeks. Even when they were still trying to figure it all out, the depth of what they felt for one another just reiterated what it was they had together, and why that something was worth every ounce of fight.
- The tension and build. This book opens with Natalie and Devlin in not so fantastic place, and it continues to build as they try to figure out if they can get back to that place again. That tension and build characterizes their relationship, and it just made me tear through their magnificent story more. I couldn’t put it down, and with each page I turned the tension and build just kept getting higher and higher. I could feel that build in my bones, and it electrified everything I was reading. Waiting for all that tension and build to boil over and explode was just spectacular too.
- The supporting members for the win. The supporting characters just round out this book, and every other book in this series for that matter. I love each of the characters that find themselves in these books fiercely for their uniqueness, and the color they bring to the story. This series is phenomenal in the fact that if gives you repeated chances to spend more time with the characters you love. Each book is a new chapter into all of their lives, and with each opportunity to read them, you’ll just fall more and more in love with them. The way that Terri Anne Browning connects all of these characters together is just brilliant, and I love every single word I get to spend with each and every one of them.
- The theme of family. This book and series has such a wonderful feeling of family that weaves its way effortlessly into every single one of these books. You feel it in so many ways, and you get to experience it in ways that will just warm your little heart. In this book you get to experience the connection Natalie shares with her brothers and sister, the connection Devlin shares with his son, and the beyond amazing connection that all of these band members and their significant others share. That theme of family resonates throughout, and just continues to hit home the connection and level of family these characters share with one another.
- All the happenings. I really won’t go into any great detail about the specific events of this book because you know I never reveal those things, but the events of this book made this book for me. They were fast paced, they were emotional, and they kept me hooked in from beginning to end. The events of this book take Natalie and Devlin to some very interesting places I never expected, but that’s what made it fantastic. I never knew where the next turn or event would take them, and that just made this book all the more outstanding to read.
- All the love. This series is bounding with all types of love. There’s the love between a man and a woman, the love between siblings blood related and not, and the love between friends. So many kinds of love and so many levels of love. All that love just envelops you in, and you feel it in your heart deeply. You will feel the love over and over, and it just hits home what these two, and what everyone in this book is fighting for, and why it’s so worth it that they give it all they’ve got to get where they want and deserve to be.
These books, these characters, these stories are ADDICTING. They just don’t stop with their amaziness, and they keep giving you more of what you need. Each one of the books in The Rocker Series hits it out of the darn park with how much punch they each pack.
Natalie and Devlin’s story was one filled with plenty of emotion and shattering pain, but it’s also filled with so much more. These two are going to break your heart, but they’re also going to try like hell to make it all better again for themselves and for you as the reader. Even though things with Natalie and Devlin are shaky to say the least and they continue to make each other work for what they both want, you will love them immensely for who they are and what they have together.
The Rocker Who Shatters Me is another brilliant addition to The Rocker Series by Terri Anne Browning. This book just exemplifies all that this fantastic series is. It has a story that just doesn’t quit, characters that will win you over in an instant, enough feeling, emotion, and heat to win your heart over, with the two very best bands around.
There’s nothing you won’t love about this series and Natalie and Devlin, so get to devouring this must read book and series today! You won’t be sorry.
Unless you piss off Emmie or Natalie by not reading these books, and then you kind of will be sorry…
PROLOGUE:
three day old beard hid the dimples that I was such a sucker for. His even, white teeth stood out against his dark tan complexion and made me want to kiss him to see if he still tasted like the toothpaste he’d used before taking the stage earlier that night. My heart melted along with another part of my anatomy when I saw that smile.

*****5 Beyond Amazing Stars*****
Meredith Wild continues to blow me away more and more with each book she writes. The Hacker Series has firmly cemented itself as one of my favorite series, and it’s because of the level of emotion, feeling, and authenticity Meredith Wild creates and conveys through all of her thoughtfully crafted words.
There were points in this book that made my heart melt, others that almost shattered it. There were moments that literally took my breath away, while some stopped my heart then got my pulse racing again in the same instant, and plenty that brought a certain pink hue to my face.
I felt it all. I experienced it all. I loved it all immensely.
Hard Limit (Hacker Series #4) is the next chapter in Blake and Erica’s love story together, and it is extraordinary, to say the least. This chapter between them just felt so right, and I can’t stress enough how much I loved reading it. This chapter and next step in their relationship felt extremely natural, and just made sense for them as a couple. Hard Limit is their next step in fighting for the ending they both want and so truly deserve.
I couldn’t get enough of it, and it left me with one helluva book hangover because I was that emotionally invested within the story and its unforgettably dynamic characters.
One of the things I’ve loved most about this series is that Blake and Erica continue to evolve and grow as characters, yet the aspects that make them unique and in essence them, still shine through.
Erica is steadfast and determined as all get out. She is also one fierce little lady who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to fight for it. Hard Limit gives Erica the opportunity to examine many aspects of her life both professionally and personally, and boy does she. This book brings about a lot of change for her specifically, and reading how she faced that change head on with her head held high, just made me love that girl more fiercely than I already did.
Blake. Oh Blake Landon, how I love thee. Blake is one of my all-time favorite male characters. He is stubborn and he is controlling and he is powerful, along with numerous other adjectives. He is so many dynamic things wrapped into one glorious male character. Hard Limit gives you an exceptional opportunity to learn more about the dynamic Blake Landon, and while discovering more about his past you’ll just come to love and understand his character more. You’ll get him, you’ll understand him and his motives, and you’ll just love that.
This book finds Blake and Erica working once again towards that happy that they both so rightfully warrant. After the events of Hardline, as well as the other books in this series, there was an ease between Blake and Erica in Hard Limit that just exemplified how much their relationship had evolved since it began. I cannot tell you enough how outstandingly Meredith Wild captures that evolution and change. It makes you see where these two were, and where they are now together. It also makes you hyperaware of just how powerful and passionate their relationship is.
Reading Hard Limit will just affirm how outstanding reading Blake and Erica’s relationship truly is. It’s passionate and fiery. Their connection continues to leap off the page with nothing short of fireworks. Meredith Wild also makes these two so real and authentic to read that you’ll find yourself easily connecting with them both. You’ll feel that connection, you’ll embrace it, and you’ll love how it emotionally invests you within this story and these characters.
It’ll also just reaffirm once again why what Blake and Erica have is worth fighting for; why it’s worth risking everything for. You’ll experience that fight, you’ll feel it in your heart, and I promise you’ll want to fight for it right along with them because that’s how worth it, it is.
One of the aspects I loved most about Hard Limit was that while Erica and Blake have evolved so much individually and as a couple, they both continue to push each other. Whether they’re pushing in the boardroom, the bedroom, or anywhere else in between, they are both continually pushing each other in the most extraordinary ways. They push each other to be better, to trust, to feel, to love, to heal, to make the right choices, to understand, to accept, to do it all. They push each other to the limits, but those limits are where the magic happens in this book, and it’s one of the many aspects that makes Hard Limit so magnificent.
I could go on and on about the level of feeling and varied emotion that characterizes Hard Limit. I’ve touched on this already, but this book really does make you feel it all, and that is nothing short of exceptional. You feel the fight these characters have. You feel and are enveloped fully within the passion and love they share. You feel those moments of heartbreak and pain and vulnerability as if you’re the character in the book experiencing it. All of those varied emotional moments just enhance what you’re reading to a whole new level to where you’ll just be blown away by the phenomenal and unforgettable reading experience you’re having.
Hard Limit continues to exemplify all that makes a Hacker Series book the best with its wonderful supporting characters, its highly charged emotional moments, its intricate and detailed layers that weave themselves beautifully into the story, and its storyline that will keep you hooked in until the very last word. I am telling you this now: you will not be able to put this book down.
All of the magnificent supporting characters are all back, and their little unique selves make this book all the more enjoyable. Each of their distinct little selves adds to the puzzle that is this series, and you’ll be glad to spend a little more time with them. Alli, Heath, Sid, Fiona, Simone, James, and many more that you’ll have to read this book to discover, will just make you love this book even more. Even Daniel. Especially Daniel.
There are also plenty of moments in Hard Limit that will shock you. And I mean shock you, take your breath away, and make you drop your kindle kind of moments. Those moments are phenomenal and breathtaking and highly emotional, and while extremely shocking, they make reading this book all the more enthralling and extraordinary because you truly don’t know what’s going to happen next.
Like I said, Meredith Wild continues to blow me away with her brilliant writing, her extremely engaging and well developed characters, and her storylines that just don’t quit with their amazingness.
This series is a must read for anyone who enjoys a good love story with plenty of love, passion, emotion and more fight than you can shake a stick at. This series is why I love reading so much. It truly has everything in it that makes a book a 5 star read for me. Hell, I wish I could give this book so many more stars than that because that’s what it deserves.
Hard Limit repeatedly exemplifies how truly remarkable and amazing this series, its characters, and Meredith Wild’s writing are.

Looking at my phone screen, I smile at the text in front of me.
I’m off 2nite. Movie @ ur house or mine?
Texting back, I tell my best friend I will be at her house after work with takeout. It is not often she gets a Friday night off. Working in a bank, I have every weekend off. Casey’s career path is far different than mine, though, and it is one that requires weekend time.
My day drags on as I review current investment portfolios and market changes. I have the best job ever. I get paid to spend other people’s money as an investment broker here in South Beach. My life is sun, sand, and dollar bills.
Before going to Casey’s, I stop by my condo and change clothes. The down side to my job is the stuffy suits I have to wear: reasonable, past knee-length skirts; reasonable women’s dress pants; and reasonable button up shirts. I might hate them, yet in a sad way, the dress code fits my life—reasonable.
It’s not long into girl’s night before the difference in our lifestyle’s show.
“Damn, we’re not even halfway through the first movie, and you’re ready for bed? What the hell? Grandparents stay up later than you,” my best friend wakes me out of my doze.
“Sorry, some of us keep normal business hours,” I joke back.
“Yeah, your hours scream forty-two, not twenty-four, as does everything else in your life.”
“I’m not that bad,” I protest half-heartedly. However, that voice of doubt says “maybe I am.” Maybe my stiff upbringing has rubbed off on me more than I care to admit.
My parents raised me to be an example. As the oldest of three, I had to be the light to guide my younger sisters, Madyson and Mallory. Everything with my parents was about fitting the mold, keeping up appearances. Their brainwashing worked to some degree. Going away to college did nothing for me in my attempt to escape my overbearing parents, either. No, they live in my head, every rule engraved into my brain matter. Too bad no one warned me there is no cure and no escape once they get those rules engrained into your very being.
I am a twenty-four-year-old virgin. A college educated, suit wearing, have my shit together prude. Yep, that’s me. I wouldn’t know what to do with a penis if it was given to me gift wrapped in Christmas paper, and topped with a bow.
Morgan Ann Powell: pathetic, stiff, and borderline pseudo-old lady—that is me. I am, quite possibly, the only woman in her twenties who can count on one hand how many guys she has kissed. I am not cut out for parties, guys, or any wild times, either. My destiny is to be the old lady who lives alone, feeding all the stray cats in the neighborhood.

“What lies beneath my veiled perfection is the ugly truth—my truth, my reality, my destiny.”
Vivian Graham has an acceptance letter into Harvard, a badass tattoo, loyal friends, ties to marijuana, a penchant for Dunkin’ Donuts, and her pesky V-card.
Everyday she takes the Red Line to her job at The Green Pot in Boston while her friends enter the coveted, black iron gates to higher learning. The ramifications from a tragic accident have put her life on hold while time marches on for everyone around her.
After graduating from Harvard Law, Boston native, Oliver Konrad, moves to Portland to start his career and his life. Three years later, after a horrific discovery, he returns home to trade in his three-piece suit for leather work boots and his suburban home for a condo in Cambridge.
All he brought back to the East Coast was an aversion to pillows and secrets he keeps hidden behind a mysterious locked door. Oliver’s days are predictable and his nights are lonely until he meets Vivian on the subway. Her long raven hair, green eyes, and mile-long legs are achingly sexy, but the way she “innocently” fingers and licks her Boston Kreme doughnut can only be described in two words—complete torture.
When their paths cross at every turn, laughter is abundant, friendship is easy, and love is unintentional. However, their future seems improbable.

CiCi O’Brien has a weapon of mass destruction—her mouth. It’s always loaded and ready to strike, whether the situation calls for laughter or a professional smartass. It’s been her strongest defense against unwanted feelings over the past fifteen years. If she acts like she doesn’t care, then she won’t, right?
Yeah . . . keep telling yourself that, Ceese!
Luckily for CiCi, she’s surrounded by friends and family who can easily see through her façade. They (and the furballs she takes care of at work) are who enrich her life, have been the ones she’s needed. That is, until the day her life changed—when she grabbed it by the balls.
No, seriously . . . she grabbed him by the balls. Not kidding.
Kyle Cooper has it all. He’s smart, handsome, and a ninja (not really, but that’s what Mitch likes to call him). As vice president of Colton Technologies, he travels around the world with Mitch, bringing companies the latest innovations in automobile technology. At home, he’s a force to be reckoned with, always hanging out with his parents and sister or . . . working.
Oh.
Kyle Cooper does not have it all, and he’s ready for a change. He just isn’t sure where to begin. That is, until CiCi O’Brien walks into his office and grabs this bull by the . . . horns (wink), which causes a spark to ignite in both of them. Kyle embraces it. CiCi does everything, short of calling the fire department, to put it out. Who will prevail? And what will that win truly mean?
Before becoming a domestic goddess (not really), I spent over a decade in the medical field, where I wore more hats than the Queen.
I have loved the written word and the great escape it provides since I was a little girl. When I wasn’t reading about people and the places they lived, I was creating my own characters and adventures.
Finding myself again through my writing in The Lost & Found Series, The One, and The GEG Series has been nothing short of a dream come true. Also, it makes people feel better when I laugh randomly or talk to myself, knowing it’s my characters and not “the voices” . . . that would be creepy.

Just a little tease…
*****5 Amazing Stars*****
This series was my first real taste of what an MC book is, and I for one was sold by everything River Savage captured in her incredible debut, Incandescent.
But I’ll let you on in a little secret: Affliction blew me away even more.
Nix Knight took me on a pretty darn fantastic dirty talking ride with Incandescent, but I was not prepared for the unforgettable ride Sy and Holly would take me on in Affliction. I wasn’t prepared for all Sy’s book would encompass. I wasn’t prepared for how much I would feel reading this book. I wasn’t prepared for the highly emotional journey this book, and Holly and Sy would give me. I wasn’t prepared for how much this book would hurt my heart, yet within those same pages how much it would try with all its might to fix that same hurt heart it helped create.
I wasn’t prepared for any of it, but I relished in all of it. Every single brilliant piece.
Holly and Sy captured my interest when I first met them both in Incandescent, but they captured my full heart and soul in Affliction.
What was brilliant about Affliction:
- Sy’s past and how it’s all revealed. Sy’s past is slowly and thoughtfully revealed over the course of his story. I won’t tell you much about that past, but what I will say is that it just made sense. It explained so much about him, why he said the things he said, and did the things he did. It just helped explain Sy, and with each new piece to his past I got him more. With each new piece I loved and felt for him immensely. Even when those pieces broke my heart and made me want reach in and stop the pain, I couldn’t get enough of Sy’s past that was being unveiled.
- Holly’s spunky attitude. Oh Holly. That girl is something else, and her spunky attitude was one of her best qualities. She is a firecracker who never failed to bring a smirk to my face. She’s also one hell of a fighter. After all she goes through in this book, Holly has to fight to get that attitude back. Reading her give it all she had to find her fire again was extraordinary to read, and it made it simply easy to love and accept that vibrant and remarkable fire that was Holly.
- Sy’s no nonsense disposition. I don’t know if I’ve ever read a man quite like Sy. He is rough around the edges and he does not take any crap from anyone. Not even Holly. Especially not Holly. That man is raw and gritty, but he feels with every ounce that he has. Stepping into is head was nothing short of outstanding, and the more I read and learned about him, the more I loved his no nonsense self. He’s definitely a character you don’t want to mess with, but I promise you that the more you read him the more you’ll crack into that hard exterior and just love him.
- The fight for the light against the darkness. Both Holly and Sy are fighting their own darkness and demons that plague their pasts and presents. Though those demons and that darkness are huge, they fight like hell for that light that they’ve both experienced. They give it their all to defeat what scares them, what pains them, and what torments them. That fight defines them in the best possible way. Their demons characterize their pasts and their presents, but both Holly and Sy try their damndest to not let it define their futures, and reading that attempt at defeating the darkness is spectacular.
- The immense amount of feeling. This book is brimming with feeling and emotion. And let me tell you, that feeling and emotion is so varied and well developed that you’ll be blown away by all that this book makes you feel. You’ll feel the lows and the pain that’ll make your heart hurt for these two. You’ll also feel the serious heat and connection they share that fires off the page. You’ll feel those moments of vulnerability that show everything that’s on the line. You’ll also seriously feel how much Sy and Holly feel for each other. You’ll feel it all. The love, the pain, the fire, the hate, the connection, the light, the dark. Everything.
- The gang’s all back, and it’s the best. One of the aspects I loved most about this book and series were the supporting characters that make it all whole. They are each highly unique and they each add something different to the story. Each one of them has their own story to tell, and the way that River Savage couples their stories into the main story of the book was outstanding. I couldn’t get enough of the interactions between these supporting characters and Sy and Holly. Their interactions make you laugh, smile, they make your heart feel whole, and altogether they just hit home the fact that it’s really true when they say the more the merrier.
- The build and connection. This book has some serious build to it. It’s got build for days. Literally. Sy and Holly are building and building together throughout the entire book to see if they have what it takes to make it work together. There’s also the build between them as their immense connection continues to build and smolder. Their build together also couples with that build to fight that looming darkness creeping around the corner. The amount of build in this book will have you feeling these characters in your bones, and will just have your heart racing for the moment when all that build explodes on the page.
- The pain you feel and understand. Holly and Sy’s stories are both filled with pain from all they experience and go through. But with what River Savage conveys in her fantastic writing in Affliction, you understand every ounce of their pain that they’re feeling. You get it. You feel it. You even kind of embrace it in a way because it sheds so much light on these two dynamic characters, and because that pain just makes you feel so much for them and their stories. That understandable pain also leads to some pretty unforgettable moments that literally take your breath away
- The messy, the raw, and all the flaws. I think one of my favorite aspects of this story was the messy, the flaws, and the rawness that encompassed Holly and Sy. It made them beyond real to me because of all they went through. It also made them authentic as hell, and it made them who they are. That messiness, that rawness, those flaws are Holly and Sy. All their cracks and rough edges all serve a purpose in their story, and I guarantee that all those cracks and flaws will just sell you repeatedly on the power and magic that is them.
Affliction is a story I wasn’t prepared for. I knew I was going to love Holly and Sy’s story from how much I loved them when I first met them in Incandescent. What I wasn’t prepared for was how much these two dynamic characters would make me feel for them as I learned all about them. They dove head first into my heart, and I think they’re going to stick.
Their story isn’t one filled with rainbows and butterflies. It’s messy and visceral and downright emotional and pain filled at times, but that’s what makes it their story. You hit the ground running and you’re not going to stop until it’s all said and done. That’s what sets it apart, and that’s what made me fall head first in love with these two characters and their story that just didn’t quit.
Holly and Sy make you work for it. They make each other work for it. They make themselves work for it. But all that fight, and all that work is beyond worth it. It’s also beyond beautiful and breathtaking every step of the way.
They won’t disappoint you one bit, and in the end you’ll realize, all the darkness was worth that chance of experiencing all brightness of the light.

“What the fuck are you doing in my club?” he asks again, moving his body closer.
“Your club?” I ask, raising my brow. “Last time I checked, I came here with my best friend, not to see you, so if you’ll excuse me,” I say, trying to push off the wall, but he steps right in, his knee coming between my legs.
“You gonna fuck him?” he growls, his eyes growing angrier by the second.
“Maybe,” I tell him, knowing he’s talking about Jesse. “I wonder if he will leave me standing naked after a quick fuck up against the wall,” I continue. His hold on me gets tighter. I know I shouldn’t tease him with my words, but he’s seriously delusional if he thinks he has any claim over me.
“I knew you were a tease, but I didn’t know you wanted to be a club whore,” he replies, and I try not to let his words sting.
“Are you done?”
“Are you?” he counters.
“You left me standing there. I didn’t fucking do anything. What are you so angry about?”
“You coming into my club, throwing yourself at one of my brothers.”
“Jeez, get over yourself, Sy. Jesse was just showing me around the place. And if I decide I want to have sex with him, or anyone else for that matter, I’ll do what I want. You don’t fucking own me. You had me, fine, but it was mediocre at best, so keep your hands off me,” I snap, trying to get out of his hold.
“Mediocre?” he repeats back to me. I’m so pissed at his attitude I don’t falter in repeating it.
“At best.”
“Didn’t feel like that when your cunt was gripping my cock like a vice,” he throws back, his words causing my pussy to throb.
“That’s called pelvic floor muscle exercises,” I say, ignoring my body’s response to having him so close.
“Right,” he whispers, leaning further into me, “and what about when I dragged my tongue through that sweet pussy of yours, and lapped up your juices dripping from you?” he questions. It takes everything in me not to respond. “Now that I think about it, when you walked into my shop, all pissed off, you were walking like you had been fucked so hard. Did you feel me for days, sweetheart?” he continues, pushing into me further. “I bet your pussy is aching for me now, isn’t it, Holly?” he asks, his lips so dangerously close to my neck.
Fuck me. Two seconds ago I hated the man, and now I’m trying to squeeze my thighs together to stop the ache coming from my lady parts.
“Too bad you won’t find out,” I counter, staying strong. I might want him more than anything, but he is still an ass.
“I don’t even need to touch you to find out. It’s written all over your face, Holly.”
“Whatever, Sy. Let me go.”
“You know I’m right. You’re so fucking turned on right now and so frustrated you’re not going to get any relief,” he teases, telling me what I already know.
“There’s always Jesse,” I threaten, trying to get a reaction from him.
“Like fuck,” he spits out, pushing his hard cock against me. “You’re not gonna let that fucker touch you. Do you understand me? None of my brothers will taste your pussy. Do you hear me?” His hand runs up my leg, running along my short denim skirt and finding the outside of my panties. A small gasp leaves my lips at his feather-light touch. “This sweet pussy belongs to me. I fucking had it first. Now, it’s mine.”
“No, it’s not,” I fight back, but my mind is too busy memorizing each lazy stroke of his finger over my lace panties.
“It will be again,” he warns before taking my mouth hard, suppressing me with his tongue. His fingers pull my panties aside, slipping in and dancing over my aching heat.
“Shit,” I breathe against his lips, forgetting where I am for a moment. Forgetting we can’t stand each other.
“You want relief, Holly?” he asks as my hips start to ride the rhythm of his talented fingers.
“Yes, give it to me, Sy,” I plead, feeling myself build with each flick of his finger.
“Say please,” he demands, slipping his thick finger inside of me.
“Please, Sy,” I cry out as he pumps me harder.
“That’s it, girl. Fuck my finger,” he growls. The heat of his voice causes goose bumps to break out on my skin. A wave of impending bliss washes over me, and then my orgasm hits, hard and fast.
“Sy,” I hiss, but don’t get anything else out as his tongue is dancing with mine again, muffling my shouts of ecstasy. His taste reminds me of beer, mint, and all things Sy. He latches onto my tongue, sucking it hard into his mouth, sending pleasure and pain rolling through my body.
Fuck, this man is dangerous with his bad-boy attitude, his sexy as hell dirty mouth and his ability to take me on the highest of highs in less than a minute. He slows the kiss, lingering for a moment before resting his forehead on mine. This right here is why this man is dangerous: bringing me apart in the middle of the club, and making me forget I hate him. Removing his fingers, he brings them to his mouth and sucks them clean.
Just a bit more tease….

“I don’t need panties.”
“I disagree,” he says with his back to me as he signs for the purchase at the counter. He takes the bag in one hand and grabs my hand with his other. “Shall we?” He leads me out of the store.
“A, I have plenty of panties. B, I told you I don’t wear them sometimes because it makes me feel sexy.”
He opens my door and sets the bag by my feet after I get in. Then he leans down and brings his face a breath away from mine as his hand slides up my leg. His thumb eases past my shorts. He stops and shakes his head as the pad of it meets my bare sex, no underwear.
My face contorts into a grimacing smile as my shoulders rise into a guilty shrug. He presses his thumb to my now wet center. My mouth relaxes as I suck in a breath and try to close the distance between our lips. He moves his head back just enough to deny me. He grins then moves his thumb a little higher. I moan as he rubs slow circles.
“How do you feel?” he whispers.
“G–good.” I grip the side of the seat and let my head fall back.
“What else?”
“Turned … on.” I close my eyes.
“What else?”
I tilt my hips up as he works me up so high I fear my own reaction to the impending fall.
“Oli …”
He speeds up, pressing his lips to my neck, and when his teeth graze over my sensitive skin I lose it.
“What. Else?” he whispers in my ear as the blinding sensation rips through me.
“Sexy … I feel … sexy.” I try to catch my breath while my head’s still spinning.
He kisses me hard then shuts my door.
I hate that I have no self-control to deny him giving me an orgasm while parked with the door open on a public street. Now he’s sporting a ridiculously smug grin as he pulls out into traffic.
“What was the point of that?” I break the silence.
“I wanted to prove that I make you feel sexy. Now that you know that, you can start wearing underwear.”
“What does it matter if no one else can see that I’m not wearing underwear?”
“First, some of the dresses you wear are awfully short. Second, I know you’re not wearing underwear and I don’t like walking around saluting everyone I pass.”
“Saluting?”
He shoots me a you-know-what-I-mean look.
“Whatever, you’re just being weird.”
“I’m being a guy.”
“That’s what I said. You’re being weird.”
