When I tell you that The Truth About Us was one of the best books I have EVER read, I do not say that lightly. I say that with all that I have. Seriously. I want to shout that statement from the proverbial rooftops to as many people as humanly possible because it is beyond true.

This book was one of the best books I have ever read.

The Truth About Us was viscerally emotional. It was breathtakingly shocking and grippingly intense. It was full of twists and turns I did not see coming, and more shocking reveals than you can shake a stick at. This book was written so exceptionally. Aly Martinez once again does the most incredible job of seamlessly weaving together a romantic suspense story that was equally about the heart and love, as much as it was about putting the pieces together. She really has the best talent for doing that, and that is just part of what made this the most fitting and perfect conclusion that I could’ve asked for for these characters.

The way she brings the conclusion together, the way she shows you these reveals, the way she brings to life the seeds she has been planting all along from the beginning, and the way she puts the big picture together will give you EVERYTHING. It will blow your heart and your mind away with what you get with these characters, and you will be reeling in more ways than one about what you get with them, what you feel with them, and what you get to experience with them as their story comes to a close. I am telling you, you are in no way emotionally or physically prepared for what you’re going to get with Penn and Cora….and you will absolutely LOVE that.

You will love how this book and its moments keep you on your toes. You will love how you will have absolutely no idea what that next page or moment or paragraph will bring. You will love how this book will take ahold of your heart, right along with these characters’, and will put you through it all with them. You will love the level of authentic and heartfelt emotion you get to experience with these characters as they journey through this story. You will love everything you get with Penn and Cora, with Drew and the girls, and with every single other character you meet along the way in this book.

You will love it all in this book. And then some.

I don’t want to reveal too much of what happens in this story, because to ruin or even reveal just a little of what will happen in this story would seriously break my heart because you need to experience this story for yourself. You need to experience its literal amazingness and get all of the pieces to the puzzle right along with these characters as they do. I am telling you, you will love getting to figure it all out right along with them, getting those shocks and reveals, and getting to see what happens with these characters through it all. What Aly Martinez so phenomenally creates in this book, in this world, and in this story will take ahold of you in every single way possible, and you will never want it all to let go.

Trust me.

What I will tell you about this book is that it picks up right where The Truth About Lies ended. It puts you right in the thick of the action, the deepest levels of emotion and anguish these characters are experiencing, and it puts you at the heart of it all as these characters try to figure out what in the world they’re all doing. From the very first page until the very last, Aly Martinez creates a tangible level of intensity through pulse pounding and adrenaline spiking moments that will simultaneously have you heart in every ounce of what she creates with these characters. Through it all these characters will burrow themselves deeper into your heart, will show you even more of who they are, and will sear themselves to you as they try to put themselves and their worlds back together again.

What you get in The Truth About Us with this world of characters is dark. It’s emotional and gritty in a way that you will not be prepared for. The first book in this unforgettable duet gives you a taste of that gritty and visceral emotion, but that is upped to the highest level in this book as these characters try to figure out what’s real and what’s not, all while discovering the truth and lies in between. Aly Martinez allows you to feel every lick of that emotion, pain, and anguish these characters experience. She lets you get it, she lets understand it, and she lets you breathe it in and live it right along with these characters.

What you’ll find in the pages of this book is not only do you get to see these characters break and feel their lows, you also get to see them rise above. You get to be there through thick and thin as they put the pieces of themselves, their hearts, and their very lives back together again. You are incredibly connected to them as they attempt to heal, as they try to figure out what it all means, and as they fight for the ending they all deserve. That fight, that attempt for healing, and the unforgettable tenacity and drive these characters have to heal, to make it right, and to feel and live the truth is nothing short of spectacular. It is what defines this book in the best way, and it honestly just blew me away.

What Aly Martinez allows you to experience with these characters as they go through it all, as they fight, and as they give it their all will show you the true character they all have, and will have you knowing that they are truly exceptional in every way possible.

I loved this book. I loved this book so damn much. I loved what it gave me with these characters. I loved that I never knew what was going to happen next. I loved that it let me understand the complicated worlds and lives and missions of these characters. I loved getting to be their front row center as the pieces all came to fruition, and I especially loved the vivid and memorable picture it all created. I loved how every part of the conclusion to this duet made me love these characters more. I loved how when I reached the end of this book, I did so with a heart that was bursting with so many feels and that was truly blown away by what I got to experience within the pages of this story.

I also loved how when I reached the end of this book I felt sad. Not because of what I was reading, but because I was so sad to have to say goodbye to this world and this story and these group of characters. I wasn’t ready to have to leave them yet. I wasn’t ready to not be with them anymore. And even though I LOVED every single word and letter and syllable this author gave me with them in this book, I still wasn’t ready to say goodbye because that is how utterly invested and connected I am to them.

All of that is a true testament to the extraordinary story that Aly Martinez creates within the pages of The Truth About Us. And honestly, I feel as if I could go on and on about this book, I could continue sharing what I loved about it and tell you all of the amazing moments I got to experience with these characters, and yet it wouldn’t even come close to capturing how truly exceptional this book and duet was. I wouldn’t even come close to scratching the surface of the intricate, dynamic, vivid, and truly unforgettable layers this book brings to life. I wouldn’t even come close to showing you what you’ll get within the pages of this book….and that is just part of what makes this one of the best and most exceptionally crafted books I have ever read.

I am telling you, you have never read a book or a story quite like this one. You have never met characters like these ones, you have never lived in such a vivid, dark, and dynamic world as this one, and you have never experienced such incredible writing and storytelling like you will in this book. You may think you know what’s in store for you in this book, but you really have no idea. Trust me. You really have no clue how this book will own you, shock you, break you, make you, and give you it all within its pages. And the only way to get those clues, to figure it all out, and to experience the literal amazingness these characters will give you is to read this book.

So please. I beg of you. Read. This. Book.

It would be wrong not to. It would be so epically wrong to not enter this world, to miss out on Penn and Cora, to miss out on Drew and the girls, and every other bit of this world. It would be so completely wrong to not feel and live and breathe this book right along with these characters. It would be wrong to not experience this truly unique and unforgettable story.

The Red Ledger Part 5 was everything I needed and more. It was perfectly intense, it shocked me in ways that I was not prepared for, it had the adrenaline pumping like crazy through me, and it had me loving every single word of what I read. Tristan and Isabel and their story are truly in a league of their own, and this fifth part just showed me that even more. This series is one of the most gripping, unforgettable, and intense series you’ll ever have the pleasure of reading.

Lie: I only have a few things to say about this book.

There are so many things I want and need to say about The Truth About Lies by Aly Martinez…and honestly I don’t even know where to start because this book was that damn good that I’m still in literal awe of it days after finishing it.

I can’t get this story out of my head. I can’t stop thinking about it. All. The. Time.  I can’t stop my brain from wracking itself crazy in the best way with what this book so meticulously and thoughtfully created within its pages. I can’t stop wondering what will happen next as this story concludes. I can’t stop feeling the physical and deeply emotional effect these characters and their story have had on me. I still feel them. I can still feel their pain and emotion and love and fire. I still find myself thinking and wondering about them. I still find myself utterly consumed and enraptured by their presence, their strength and the shear determination and fight they have.

I haven’t been able to stop thinking or feeling or living or breathing this story since I finished it. And I love it. I LOVE that I have been owned by this story. I love that what Aly Martinez so exceptionally created in this book has left a permanent mark on me, my head, and my heart. I love that I know this book, this story, these characters, and what I experienced with them will never fully leave me. I love that these characters have become so ingrained with me since I finished their story. I love that there really is no going back for me after reading this story and meeting Penn and Cora. I LOVE  that I need the conclusion to their story more than I need my next breath. I love that these characters and this story were so dynamic, so memorable, and so damn special that I find myself wishing I could live in their world forever.

This book is one of the best books I have ever read. It has begun one of the most gripping stories I have ever had the chance to experience as a reader. It has addicted me and ensnared me within its grasp, and I honestly never want it to let go. I never want to be rid of these characters, or their moments, or their world because that is how beautifully and epically consumed I am with them.

This story is one unlike any other I have ever read. And I feel as if I say that every time I read a book by Aly Martinez, but that statement just continues to become truer every time I say it or type it. Each and every one of her stories are unlike any other I have read or experienced. Each and every one of her stories up the ante. Each and every one of them push me to the edge in a different and magnificent way. Each and every one of her stories makes me feel and live and breathe her the story she is presenting to me in such a dynamic way.

With each new book and story and world she creates, this author continues to blow me away. She continues to have me desperate for all of her words and characters and what her brilliant mind can create. She has me addicted to the emotional murdering her stories bring to life in the most tangible way, and I have truly never been happier to be murdered in feels, than I am when I’m reading a book by Aly Martinez. Her writing and storytelling are truly exceptional, and that was present in every page of The Truth About Lies.

This book was EVERYTHING. EV-ER-Y-THING.

It was emotional and raw. It was memorable. It was funny as hell in moments, and heartbreakingly sad in others. There are moments in this book that will make you smile, others that will make you angry at what these characters have lived through or what they must continue to fight for, and so many moments that will make you cry all the tears. And I do mean all the tears. (Have your tissues ready.) This book was suspenseful and twisty and turny in a way you will be in no way prepared for. It was written and crafted so thoughtfully, and let me tell you, just when you think you know what’s happening and you’ve got it all figured out, you will be SHOCKED by what that next page or chapter brings.

This book has Aly Martinez’s distinctive writing style and voice that perfectly weaves together a story that will literally leave you in awe. You will finish this book with a heart that is bursting for these characters, with lungs that are out of breath from everything this story delivers to you, and with a mind that is reeling in more ways than one because of what you get within the pages of this book. And honestly, that is just part of what makes this such an extraordinary book.

I want to tell you all the things about this book and this story and what you’ll get when you read it, but in the same breath I want to tell you nothing because you NEED to experience this book for yourself. You need to just go into, and be ready to be owned by it. You have to read it for yourself, you have to meet Penn and Cora, and experience your own level of addiction with what they give you. Read the blurb for this book or don’t read the blurb, go in blind or read all the reviews, but just do yourself the biggest favor of your life and read this book. It would be such a mistake to miss reading this book and to miss experiencing the epic story it has to give you.

When I tell you I loved every word of this book, and that it was one of the best books I have EVER read, I do not say that lightly. Those aren’t just words I’m throwing out there…they’re the absolute truth. I mean that with every part of me. This book, its world, and its characters will give you something unlike any other book you’ve read, and it will own you. It will own your thoughts and your emotions. It will own your heart and your mind. It will own your breaths and every feeling you have. This fourth part pushed them both into situations they never thought they’d be in and it makes the reevaluate not only what their actions are, but what in the world they’re going to do with those hearts of theirs. This next part was everything to get with them, and getting to be right in the thick of it with them while they faced it all that came their way was nothing short of spectacular.

I truly can’t say enough how much I am addicted to this series and this world. What Meredith Wild creates within the pages of this installment and this entire series is the perfect romantic suspense. It keeps you on your toes, brings the fire and heated connection that is as intense as the action these two characters face, and it brings you two dynamic characters who are fighting for their lives, for their freedom, and for their love and themselves.

I have no doubt that Meredith Wild will continue to blow us all away with what she has planned for this series. If you have been reading and enjoying this series, you will absolutely love where this fourth installment takes you with Tristan and Isabel.
