All Too Well by Corinne Michaels is now live!
For as long as I can remember, Lachlan West has been my brother’s best friend and the
love of my life. Trouble is, he kissed me four years ago and then never spoke to me again.
I was doing great pretending he doesn’t exist until I was assigned to write an article
about former college athletes and I learn that the sexy single-dad is my first interview.
Determined to wow my editor with an amazing sportsball piece. (Have I mentioned I
know nothing about sports?) I head to Ember Falls, ready to face my fears—and the man I love.
The grumpy quarterback turned fireman wants nothing to do with me or my article. Yet,
somehow I persuade him to let me follow him around for a few weeks, and even if he said yes just to get rid of me, I’ll take it.
But the longer I stay in his small town, the more complicated our story gets. The boundaries we set fall to the ground—along with our clothes.
He holds me like I matter, touches me like I’m cherished and kisses me like he loves me.
We both know I have to leave Ember Falls, and he’ll never follow—I only wish I could write a different ending to our story.

*****5 Incredible & Swoony Stars*****
There are many things I know to love and expect when I sit down to read a book by Corinne Michaels. I know to expect a book that will consume me in every way. I know to expect a couple that I will root for with my whole heart, and that will truly leave it all on the page of their story. I know to expect feels and spice and so much heart. I also know to expect a small town that I immediately want to spend every single second in.
Simply put, when I sit down to read a book by this author, I know with my whole heart that I’m about to read a new favorite book.
Every single one of her books has been a five star read for me. I have been reading her stories and words for almost 10 years at this point and I am hooked. I am hooked and I just want everything with her characters, their stories, and the magic that she infuses into every new love story she creates. I have truly loved every single book by this author, and I just have to say that All Too Well and the small town of Ember Falls is my new favorite place to be.
This book, along with Lachlan and Ainsley and Rose, completely stole my heart. I mean they stole it from the very first moment I met them. What starts off as two people just not finding the right words and the right time, soon becomes a romance that melted my heart in every way. I loved every part of this book and story. I loved the longing between these characters. I lived for the connection that was there with them and every moment. I loved getting to see how their relationship changed from those moments in the past, to the present, to all of that hope for the future of what could be for them. I also just loved the dynamic between them and getting to be in every breath of their story.
This author put me heart first into every second of their love story in All Too Well, and I was here for every single second of it. It was truly everything, and then some. It connected me to the story in these characters, it owned me from start to finish, and it just had me knowing that these two were meant to be.
And honestly, that’s just scratching the surface of what I loved about this book and every second I spent with these characters.
Corinne Michaels truly proves to me with every new book she writes and every new small town that she creates that she is one of the best authors out there. Her words have been giving me incredible and unforgettable love stories for years now and I just love it. I truly do because there’s something special about reading a book of hers. It just feels like coming home. It feels like my happy place. Her words and what she creates for them and The characters that she so thoughtfully creates and weaves together into these small towns and groups of friends and special families it’s just everything. It truly is special and magical and it makes my heart happy. I can’t say enough what it’s like to go into a book knowing you’re going to get that and then experiencing it for yourself. It’s truly everything and then some and it is just one of the many reasons I love her books so much and why I loved this book so much.
All Too Well had all of my favorite tropes that had me knowing I would love Ainsley and Lachlan’s story. Those two have been in each other’s lives forever. They are friends, but there are something so much more between them. The problem is that she is his best friend sister and there is a lot of things they have to overcome to find their way to each other. There are definitely a few missed opportunities between them and a whole lot of longing and connection, but more than that there is just a literal rightness about the two of them when they’re together. The events of this book bring them back together in a very special small town, full of amazing characters, some very special places, and a few secrets that will melt your heart.
Over the course of this book, you get to go along with them as they dance around their feelings, as they create an even deeper connection and relationship, and as they see if what’s between them could finally find a way to be. Throw in some frisbee, the cutest little girl on the planet, and two characters trying to make sense of their own childhood and how that shaped them, and you’re just scratching the surface of what you’ll get in the story.
Over the course of this book you get to enter the magical small town of Ember Falls and meet all of the incredible characters that make that town what it is. You get moments that will make you laugh with all the banter and antics, you have moments that will make you swoon with the sweetness and the rightness of what these characters all share, and you’ll get so many moments of heart and fire and everything in between with Lachlan and Ainsley. Those two are meant to be, and you feel that in your heart the very first time you meet them on that very first page and you will love getting their story and getting to fight right along with them as they see if something is possible between them.
What I loved about those two, besides the fact that they knew how to push each other‘s buttons and drive each other crazy in the best way, was the fact that they were just so real and honest. They might not have always done it with their words, but their actions, their hearts, and the way they were with each other spoke everything about what they felt and what they shared, and what they wanted to have between them.
I loved that about them. I felt so connected into these characters and to the rightness of the two of them. There was just something inherently good about what they shared together and the two of them is individuals. I loved getting to be in both of their heads over the course of this book and getting to feel the goodness of the both of them, the rightness of the two of them finding their chance together, and getting to experience the literal magic of the two of them feeling what they did for one another.
Lachlan is a single dad who was willing to do anything for his daughter. He was also a man who felt like he was always left behind. And he didn’t want to have to say goodbye to Ainsley for that and so many other reasons. That man is a good man and he loves his daughter and he loves Ainsley with his whole heart. You know that from the very first page of this book and it is everything to see that man heal himself over the course of the story as he reconciles what he’s willing to let himself have and experience when he opens his heart.
Ainsley is a spunky reporter trying to make herself proud while also showing those in charge of her that she has what it takes. She’s also a girl who’s been in love with Lachlan for as long as she can remember. This book brings her back face-to-face with him and forces her to realize what she truly feels, what she truly dreams of, and wants for herself and her heart, and it pushes her to open herself up to a second chance. That girl is pure spitfire in the best way, and getting to see her be honest with herself and others, feel what she does with her whole heart, and fight when it really matters was truly the best.
It’s safe to say that I really loved those two and I definitely loved every moment I got with him in this book. There’s just really something special about them and what they share. You will love getting to journey with them as they find their way back to each other, as they try to build something together, and as they see if they can fight and take that risk for dreams, they’ve always wanted. Couple that with the smalltown goodness this author creates, a heavy dose of heart and emotion with what these characters figure out with themselves and their families and each other, and throw in a little banter and a heavy dose of spice, and you have the perfect small town romance that will steal your heart in every way.
That is this book and that is Lachlan and Ainsley.
Corinne Michaels has once again outdone herself with what she created in this book and with this couple and with this town. I’m already counting down the moments to when I can get back with this couple and with this small town that I already want to spend all my time in. This series has been set up to be one of my new favorites and I am just chomping at the bit for all of these characters to get their stories. I need more time with all of them and I think that just speaks to what this author creates so vividly and fantastically that I felt that in every bit of this book.
If you are looking for a romance that will feel like a warm hug, that will melt your heart, and that will show you a romance that is practically written in the stars, then you will love this book. It’s got all of the best tropes with small town, brothers, best friend, single dad, a fireman and a journalist writing an article about him, and just all of the goodness that can’t even be completely or accurately described in a single book review. This book is just phenomenal. It’s romantic, it’s spicy and swoony, it’s exceptionally written, and it just feels right. This couple, these characters, this town and everyone in it feels so right, and it truly felt special to experience this story with all of them. This is a perfect opening to a world that I can’t wait to get more of and I just love it.
I love that I got the chance to read this book, that I got the chance to fall in love with these characters and their love story, and that I got the chance to experience the magic of this small town and the people within it. I have no doubt that this author will continue to be one of my favorites and will continue to wow me with what she creates because All Too Well was just the best.
It was the best and then some.
