Montgavin Township will never be the same when one night changes the lives of six people.
The course of their lives and the trajectory of the town sets them on a collision course for disaster.

Charlie
It was supposed to be a regular day out.
Three couples celebrating the last days of summer.
When tragedy struck.
I thought I was going to marry her.
Instead, I was burying her.
I blamed the world for my pain.
I buried it all.
I became a man I didn’t even recognize.

Autumn
In a blink of an eye, everything changed.
My best friend was gone, and I was responsible for it.
I may not have been driving the truck, but I didn’t stop it.
Escaping the town was the only thing I could do to survive the guilt.
I thought I was strong enough to go back.
I was wrong.
One look from him and I knew I wasn’t welcome.
But this is my home, and I wanted to come back.
One night turned into more. But at the end of the day, I know he’ll never love me.
Besides, we all have shattered dreams.

****4 Incredible Stars****

This is the first book that I’ve read by Natasha Madison, and I know that this will not be the last. I really enjoyed this book. I am a lover of all things, angst, emotion, and consuming romance. This book had all of that and more. It was a book that I read in one sitting and felt every bit of. It was a story of loss and pain and healing. It was a story of two characters who shouldn’t work finding that they are the exact person the other needs. This book was a romance that had all of the feels, that had all of the glorious push and pull, and that showed that a happily ever after can come out of even the most heartbreaking situations.

What I loved about this book is that it hit the ground running with the feels and it never quit. Natasha Madison definitely brings a lot of emotion to this story and to what these characters go through. Charlie and Autumn both share an unimaginable level of pain over a shared circumstance and moment the trajectory of both of their lives. They have both lived with that pain and that guilt, especially Autumn, for the last eight years.

The events of this book bring Autumn back to the small town she ran away from all those years ago and forces her to face all of those who she ran away from. One of those people is Charlie who also lost everything the same night that autumn did. He has a lot of strong feelings towards Autumn, but as much as these two might “hate “each other, there are so much more that build between them in this book.

Over the course of this book you follow along with both Charlie and Autumn as they realize there is this connection and pull that brings them together. It doesn’t make sense and it shouldn’t work, yet there is something they can’t deny between each other. They feel every breath of that and the push and the pull and the angst of it all is fantastic. It truly makes for a romance that will have you on the edge of your seat, feeling every breath of what these characters share desperately trying to figure out if they’ll be able to make it work.

I lived for the back-and-forth of these characters. I lived for them, struggling to make sense of their feelings and emotions towards each other. I lived for everything they shared inthis story. They definitely make you work for it and they definitely make each other feel all of the things, but it is incredible to experience as a reader. It just makes you believe in the possibility of them and what they’re building even more. Trust me when I say they leave it all on the pages of this book and you will love it.

Now I am a huge lover, small town, romance, and this small town was a great place to me. I definitely felt a connection to this place and all of these characters, and I am definitely looking forward to what this author has planned for the rest of the series. This small town may have it secrets, and it may have gotten it wrong in the past, but the people of this town have a lot of connection and they are dynamic in their own way. I’m can’t wait to see what the rest of these books will bring to the small town and to get back with Charlie and Autumn because I just loved everything they shared in this very special place.

If you are looking for a small town romance with lots of angst, all of the emotion, and some serious feels, then run yourself to this book. These care characters definitely have a rough road ahead of them to find their way to each other, but it makes what they share even more worthwhile to get what you do with them. The two of them meant to be. Even with everything stacked against them. You will love getting to be with these characters as truth are revealed, as emotions and hearts are put on the line, and as they feel everything together. Getting what you do with Charlie and Autumn makes their story that much more incredible to read and experience.

Trust. Me.

I really enjoyed this book and jumping into a book by this author for the first time. Her writing style definitely brings the feels, brings all of the romance and spice, and will invest you in these characters. This book was enjoyable to read even when it hurt my heart, and I loved what I got with these characters because I felt it all. This book is definitely well worth the read, and I look forward to reading more by this author.
