Aly Martinez has been breaking my heart and putting it back together again for almost 10 years now…and I freaking love it. 

She is one of my favorite authors for a reason and she continues to prove that again and again. 

Every single one of her books has been a 5 star read for me. Her words and books and characters have made me cry, they’ve made me laugh, they’ve made me melt into a puddle of goo from all the glorious swoon they deliver. They’ve made me feel EVERYTHING. They’ve made me question and think and wonder what I would do if I was put in the same situations as they were. They’ve also made my dang mind work a million miles a second trying to figure out what is about to happen next…and spoiler alert, I can literally never guess what’s about to happen next. 

Reading a book by Aly Martinez is a truly unforgettable experience from start to finish.  

Alone With You is just another shining example of the true talent Aly Martinez has as a storyteller. 

This book was everything. This story was everything. The emotions and feels I experienced while reading this book were everything. These characters and their unforgettably and deeply felt love story were everything. The journey that I took with these characters in their shared past, present, and future, was literally everything. 

Simply put, Gwen and Truett’s love story in Alone With You is one of the best books I have ever read. 

It has been quite some time since I’ve felt as much as I did reading Alone With You by Aly Martinez. This book was truly breathtaking. There were moments I sobbed with these characters with what they had experienced, what they were feeling, and what they were going through as they fought their way back to one another. There were moments where I felt such pride in the strength and tenacity that they both shared. There were moments that truly stole my heart with the connection and love that was there between these two. There were other moments where I felt so shattered for them and clung on to hope right along with them that they would find their way back to themselves and each other. 

Aly Martinez encapsulated all of that and so much more into her words and into this love story. Through every word of this book she shows you that Gwen and Truett are truly meant to be and that there is no better match for those two than each other. You know that in your soul from the very first moment you meet them, and you will truly just be blown away by what you get with him in this book. My heart belonged to those two from the very first moments of this book and every turn of that page just solidified my belief in the two of them, my belief in the power and meaning of their story and second chance romance, and my belief that they were just meant to be. 

Alone With You Was truly everything I’ve come to love and expect from this author, but even so much more. This book was Aly Martinez on fire. It is truly her best work. It is deeply emotional and powerful. It is so exceptionally written and crafted. It had everything I have loved about her books and it amplified it a million times over. This story was just one that I truly will never forget. These characters and their journey and their second chance at a future together truly owned every single part of my heart and soul in every way possible. I thought about these characters while reading this book, I felt everything with them, I breathed it all in and lived it with them because of how exceptionally this author crafted every word of this book. It truly was the most amazing reading experience that I will never forget. and it gave me a romance that wowed in every second. 

Truett and Gwen are truly something special, and you will know and believe that and feel that in every part of yourself through every second of their story. 

I truly cannot say enough how much I loved what I got to experience with the two of them. I love those two with my whole heart, but more than that I’m just so proud of them. I’m proud of the work those two put in over the course of this story as they heal themselves, as they help heal each other, and as they see if it’s possible to find a way back together again. And I have no doubt that you will feel the same as you read and experience every breath of their story. It is truly one that is so special, so raw and breathtakingly beautiful, and one that is so layered with complexities that this author navigates in the best, most meaningful and impactful way. 

I truly am in awe of what this author created with Gwen and Truett. Their story is one that will be with me forever. It is a story of second chances, of healing, and of making light out of the darkest of days. It is a story that will consume you on every level, and it is one that will truly wow you. I promise you that. 

If there is one thing I hope you take away from this review it’s that you need to read this book. You need to read it, you need to just live and experience it with these characters, and you just need to experience the literal incredibleness that are these characters and their story together. You will feel so emotionally moved by what you get with them and you will love the twists and turns and heart pulling moments and swoon and fire and connection and just everything in between that you get from this author and these characters. This book is truly the best amount of everything and it is one of my favorite books I’ve ever read. 

Aly Martinez leaves everything on the pages of this book, pulls your heart and soul into everything with Gwen and Truett, and in the end, shows you what true love really means and what it can give you if you’re brave enough to take that first step into what comes next. 

I loved every single word and moment and second in this book. It is truly one of the best romances I’ve ever read, and I promise that the moment you start reading this book, is the moment you will start falling hopelessly in love with these characters and what they’re ready to give you. Be prepared to feel it all (and I mean everything!) with Gwen and Truett, to experience every complexity with them heart first, and to journey with them as they wade through the past, present, and future on their fight back to one another. 

These characters and their story are complex, flawed, real and vulnerable, and their second chance love story is nothing but perfection with what this author creates and gives you with them. Trust me when I say that you need these two in your life and that you will not want to see them go when you reach the end of their story. Gwen and Truett are going to burrow themselves so deep in your heart that you will have no choice but to love them and root for them and want every good thing for them…and honestly, it doesn’t get better than that. Or them. Or their book. 

So please just trust me when I say that you need to read this book as soon as humanly possible. It would be wrong not to. Truett and Gwen are ready to wow you with every piece of their breathtakingly unforgettable story, and you will just love it and them and everything they’re ready to give you.
